Premium · On your own or with a coach

Every set, every record, without a spreadsheet

Pick the exercise and log the set. What you lifted last time is already sitting in the fields, so beating it means typing over one number. Loopa keeps the rest (the records, the volume, the week against the week before) without being asked.

The Loopa workouts screen on iPhone, showing recent sessions and personal records
In the gym

Logging a set takes less time than resting between them.

The screen you use while training is the one that had to be fast. Everything on it is one tap from the exercise you are standing in front of.

453 exercises, described

Each one carries its muscle groups, the equipment it needs, the movement pattern it belongs to and a one-line form cue. If the thing you do is not in there, add it and it behaves like the rest.

Last session is already in the fields

The reps and the weight you did last time show as placeholders. Matching them means typing nothing; beating them means changing one number. No scrolling back through a log to remember.

A set knows what kind it is

Warmup, working, drop, failure and AMRAP are marked as what they are, so a warmup single is never mistaken for a top set. Reps, weight and RPE on each one.

Cardio has its own shape

A run, a row or a ride goes in with duration and distance, rather than being squeezed into sets and reps that do not describe it.

Kilograms or pounds, your choice

Pick one and the whole feature speaks it, entry, records, volume, the program. Nothing asks you to convert in your head between the rack and the app.

Your watch already knows

Two-way with Apple Health and Health Connect. A session recorded on a watch arrives here, and a session logged here goes back out.

The logger

The screen you hold between sets

Exercise, reps, weight, how hard it felt, done. Last session's numbers are already in the fields as placeholders, so matching them means typing nothing and beating them means changing one digit. It works with no signal, a basement gym syncs on the way out, and syncing twice produces one session, not two.

Premium

The catalog

453 exercises, described rather than listed

Each one carries its muscle groups, the equipment it needs, the movement pattern it belongs to and a one-line form cue, so you can go looking for a hinge you can do with dumbbells instead of scrolling until something familiar appears. Anything missing, you add, and it logs, sets records and counts toward volume exactly like the ones that shipped.

Premium
  • Filter by muscle group, equipment or pattern
  • Your own exercises behave like the built-in ones
  • Six starter programs and fifteen routines included

What it adds up to

Volume by muscle group, and the records you did not notice

Seven days and twenty-eight, drawn per muscle group. A month that felt heavy on chest and thin on legs either was or was not, and that is something you can check rather than argue about. Records are found for you, six kinds, including an estimated one-rep max Loopa keeps current from what you actually lift.

Premium
  • Volume by muscle group over 7 and 28 days
  • Estimated 1RM, heaviest, most reps, most volume, best pace, longest distance
  • Strength trends per exercise
  • CSV export of every set you have logged

Programs

A block on a calendar, not a plan in your head

Build a routine once and drop it on the days you train, or run one of the fifteen that ship with it. A multi-week program lays the whole block out on dates, so you open today and the exercises, sets and targets are already there. Progression is a rule the program applies rather than a decision you make under the bar.

Premium
  • One to fifty-two weeks, on real dates
  • Linear, double progression, a percentage of your 1RM, or none
  • Build routines on the phone or at a computer
  • Or hand it to a Loopa Coach, at no extra cost
Building a routine in Loopa on iPhone: a name, a folder, and groups of exercises where two or more in one group become a superset
Between sessions

The part you would otherwise keep in a spreadsheet.

Records, volume and what to do next week are arithmetic on numbers you already typed. Loopa does that arithmetic so the log is worth keeping.

Six kinds of record, found for you

Estimated one-rep max by the Epley formula, heaviest weight, most reps, most volume in a single set, best pace and longest distance. You never mark a record. Loopa notices it and tells you which kind it was.

Volume by muscle group

Over the last 7 days and the last 28. A month that felt heavy on chest and thin on legs is a thing you can check rather than argue about.

Programs on a calendar

A multi-week schedule with the sessions laid out on dates. Open today and the exercises, the sets and the targets are already there.

Progression that decides ahead of you

Linear, double progression, or a percentage of your one-rep max. The rule raises the number when it is time, so the decision is made before you are standing under the bar.

Two ways to use it

On your own, or with somebody watching.

Most people train alone and want a logbook that keeps up. Some want a coach who writes the block and reads the sets afterwards. Loopa is the same app either way, and the same subscription, a coach is somebody you add, not a product you buy.

On your own

The logbook, the library and the numbers. Nobody else involved.

  • Sets, reps, weight and RPE, logged offline
  • 453 exercises, plus any you add yourself
  • Six kinds of personal record, found for you
  • Your own routines and multi-week programs
  • Volume by muscle group and strength trends

With a coach

Everything above, plus a person. You choose what they can see, one category at a time.

  • They write the block; it lands on your calendar
  • They read the sets you actually did, not a summary
  • They can comment on a session; you can reply
  • Nothing is shared until you switch that category on
  • Revoke it whenever you like, without asking them
How coaching works

Training is part of Loopa Premium, which is $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year; Loopa Premium Family covers up to six people for $119.99 a year. Working with a coach costs nothing extra.

Common questions

Do I have to pay to log a workout?

No, training is part of Loopa Premium: the logger, the 453-exercise library, personal records, routines, programs, the calendar and the analytics all come with a subscription. Premium is $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year, and Loopa Premium Family covers up to six people for $119.99 a year. Working with a coach costs nothing on top of that, a coach is somebody you add to the feature you already have, not a second product.

How does Loopa decide something is a personal record?

It watches six things: your estimated one-rep max using the Epley formula, heaviest weight, most reps, most volume in a single set, best pace and longest distance. A set that beats one of them is a record, and you are told which kind it was.

Can I add an exercise that is not in the library?

Yes. Give it a name, its muscle groups, the equipment it needs and the movement pattern it belongs to, and it logs, sets records and counts toward your volume exactly like the 453 that ship with the app.

Can my coach see my training?

Only if you switch it on. Workouts are their own sharing category and it starts off, as do body measurements and progress photos. A coach you have shared training with can build a program, assign it to you, read the sessions you logged against it and comment on them.

Does it work with Apple Health or Health Connect?

Both, in both directions. Workouts recorded on a watch or in another app arrive in Loopa, and the sessions you log in Loopa are written back out.
